Stitch screenshots together on iOS with Tailor
Forget sharing multiple screenshots when trying to show someone an iMessage conversation or article.
It's safe to say we've all taken screenshots of an iMessage or Facebook Messenger conversation and sent them to someone else. The method is far easier than having to recap the conversation yourself, but sending multiple screenshots at once isn't always the best experience for those on the receiving end.
Tailor, a free iOS app, eliminates that problem by analyzing your screenshots and combining them into one long photo. It's capable of stitching screenshots together from any app, so long as the content is displayed vertically (which is the case with basically every iOS app).
Using Tailor couldn't be easier. After taking a series of screenshots, you just open Tailor and wait for it to do its magic. The key to ensuring a seamless experience (pun intended) is to make sure each screenshot has some overlap with the previous screenshot. The more overlap, the easier it is for the app to recognize what goes where and put it all together.
If the app fails to properly stitch the screenshots together, retake the screenshots -- this time with more overlap. You can share the screenshot by tapping on the share button, or long-pressing on the content to copy it to your iOS device's clipboard (where you can then paste it into another app).
At the bottom of the extra-length screenshot will be an ad for the app, unless you opt to remove it through an in-app purchase currently priced at $2.99 in the US, £2.29 in the UK and AU$3.79 in Australia.
