How to unsubscribe from the weekly Twitter digest e-mail

Twitter started sending you a weekly e-mail telling you what's happening on Twitter. You're not amused. Here's how to disable Twitter's weekly digest.

Earlier this week Twitter started sending users an e-mail rounding up the prior week's hot topics and tweets. A weekly reminder or update is great for Twitter users who aren't always on the social network. But, for those of us who are on Twitter more than we should be, and already know what happened over the last week, the e-mail is simply more spam.

Luckily, unsubscribing from the e-mail is a simple process.

  • If you have one of the e-mails sitting in your Inbox right now, scroll to the bottom and click on the unsubscribe link. Your browser will then launch and pull up Twitter.com
  • If you don't, launch your desktop browser and head on over to Twitter.com/settings. Once you're logged in, click on the Notifications option on the left.

  • Whether you ended up on this page by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the e-mail, or on your own, you will need to make sure the weekly digest box is unchecked under the Updates section.

Should you change your mind down the road, visit your settings > notifications page and check the box next to the weekly digest option.
