When you post a picture on Instagram, you can include a caption under the photo. Unfortunately, if you make a typo, there's no obvious way to edit your text. Other times, you may receive some spam comments on your photo -- the kind that ask you to a visit a website (Hint: don't click it!) or request a follow back. The most common solution is to just delete the photo, re-add it, and then re-type the caption. This process might create another issue: you lose the likes and comments added by others when you remove the photo.
Well, since captions act just comments, you can delete them individually -- which fixes either situation mentioned above. Here are three quick steps for deleting comments and captions on your Instagram photos:
Step 1: Tap the comment button under the photo.
Step 2: Press and hold on the comment you need to remove and choose Delete from the pop-up menu.
Step 3: A pop-up window will appear. Tap Delete to confirm you want to remove the comment.
If the comment violates the terms of service or is obviously spam, you can pick the Delete Comment and Report Abuse option.
While this is not a very straight-forward solution, do you think it's enough? Or do you think you should be able to edit specific characters in the comment? Share your feedback in the comments.
