Bluetooth hands-free calling systems in cars are nothing new, but they might start becoming a lot more commonplace as more states and cities adopt legislation banning the use of cell phones while behind the wheel.

Factory-fitted Bluetooth hands-free calling systems are the most seamless way of connecting your phone and your car. These systems are generally only available on newer and high-end cars. There are dozens of Bluetooth headsets on the market, along with cell phones ready for the job of connecting to either the headset or the dashboard. And for drivers who don't like the idea of driving around with big blue lights attached to the side of their heads, the other option is a universal Bluetooth kit. These can either be standalone speakerphones or systems that are integrated into the car stereo.
