If you are in a desperate need of of an upgrade from your on board graphics solution plus you are not keen on spending extra bucks for your old system, this is what you need. To begin with it has 256MB of ddr2 ram running at 400 MHz (effective) and the 'GPU' that is a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 runs at a decent 350 MHz, so it can handle your applications like Quake 4 (at low settings of course), also another cool feature that NVIDIA integrated is a Tv out feature that provides best-of-class TV-out functionality for resolutions up to 1024x768, for a low price..

"Good,cheap upgrade"

Pros

Decent 256MB card that supports 8x AGP.Price is $40 by now.(new from ebay stores etc)

Cons

I paid $50 (new)for my XFX Geforce 6200 512 AGP(8x).Why not spend $10 more for twice the memory?

Summary

Cards are getting REAL cheap, and there are tons to choose from.
Gamers...I highly recommend dropping $80,and getting a much better 8-series geforce or comparable radeon.I paid $50 for my 6200 512MB.In 2009,it was the cheapest 512MB AGP avaliable. My buddy gave me his old ... Read full review

Time marches on,and hardware prices are dropping fast.Still using 8x AGP? ...that's cool, but much newer and faster 16x PCI express cards are avaliable...CHEAPER.
You should seriously consider a motherboard with a PCI exp slot...
-GeForce 6200 512MB DDR2 AGP 8X is $42 new.
-GeForce 210 512MB DDR2 PCI-E 16x is $34 newer.
The 16x with newer technology will smoke this old 6200.

"A vast improvement over integrated graphics."

Pros

A great upgrade for an older computer. Can (with proper amounts of system ram) play games such as Battlefield 2; though, admittedly, at lower resoloutions.

Cons

An older graphics engine, but well worth the $40 or so you pay for it.

I recently purchased an older business IBM P4 1.8Ghz with integrated graphics as a fourth computer. As it so happens, I wanted my neice to be included in network games my nephue and I were playing, such as Battlefield 2. Therefore, I purchased the XFX 6200 Card and the computer does now run Battlefield 2, though at the lowest resoloutions. I was very impressed at the boost the card gave this aging system.
