  • "Heat sink fell off"

Summary Card worked fine until my heatsink fell off. the small plastic clips that held the heatsink had fallen off so i am left with no fan or heatsink

  • "Hard decision - but I went 440MX"
    on

Summary I read all these reviews, I went to Fry's and spent hours looking at all the cards. Mind you, I'm very tecnical, but I wanted a fellow friend whom I trust for technical advice to confirm my purchase decision. Normally this guy would lead me down a 300 dollar spending spree but this time his advice was, get MX, sure TI cards were faster, better, more money...But he said get MX, it's all you need. My advice is make sure you get the MX440 with DDR memory, lots of PNY cards at Fry's that were 420MX (no DDR). I bought the VisionTek, and it's been a breeze. I downloaded the latest driver from the VisionTek site, didn't even bother with the included driver CD, and within minutes me, Windows XP and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are running full speed ahead. I am running on a 15" Samsung Syncmaster Flat Panel Monitor with just standard VGA connector, and the brightness is awesome...All I wanted was something for my new system that was at least as good as my old Voodoo3 board that had to go becuase of a motherboard upgrade (no more 3.3v AGP) and this card seems to be doing the trick. So far NO COMPLAINTS!!! Not sure what trouble these other guys on here are having, but I suspect their super-power users, if that's the case, nothing will ever make 'em happy! Take my advice and always by one notch down from State of the art.

  • "Glad i did not pay much for it"
    on

Summary I found the graphics rendering to be slow and jerky. My GeForce 2 dose a better job of keeping up with my requirements. I'm thinking it may be a driver problem, but untill this is known as a fact or not, i would not recommend this card to my worst enemy.

  • "Good Card, but not for gaming."
    on

Summary This couldv'e been a good card if it lived up to its name. I wish I had my geforce 2 gts i gave to my gf.
