"Awesome card"on by Krattle456
Pros Runs cool
Plays Crysis on Very High settings easily
Cons Huge card but that's not really a drawback now is it?
Summary I have heard so many user reviews knocking this card for its temperature. I have no clue what they're talking about. My old card, a 8800 GTS 512 ran at 54 degrees C at idle and 70 degrees C at full load. The GTX 260 Core 216 SC runs at 36 degrees C at idle, and at full load it runs at 60 degrees C. Admittedly I have a really well ventilated case (Antec 1200 with 7 fans).
Yes, the card is huge and so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a fullsize tower. But that's not really a drawback now is it? You should know going into the purchase that it's huge and you'd be stupid to try to fit it into a mini-tower.
It runs super fast. I can play Crysis on Very High settings, and even add some AA and AF and still get very good FPS. I can also run Crysis Warhead, UT3, and Alien vs. Predator on max settings without a hitch. I don't own Fallout 2 or other very demanding games but I have no doubt I could handle them easily.
In short, this card is awesome. Get it.
