Pros Does a good job overal - no frills but gets the job done at an affordable price. Somewhat simple install (except requiring direct power supply connection might limit use for some).
Cons Extremely noisey fan - it sounds like a CD spinning up, constantly 24/7 even when a black screen saver is on.
Summary Regarding graphics, installation, usage, etc., this is a decent card. It gets the job done at an affordable price. Installation is a less than 10 minute process (downloading and installing the latest drivers adds another 10 minutes). Graphics are fine. I have not really put it through its paces for gaming (not my intent) so I cannot speak to that but, for everyday typicaly use (including some video), it seems fine. Except... The fan is so noisey, if I do not find a fix to slow down the fan speed in the next few days, I will probably return it. Seriously - it is that noisey. After I installed it, it sounded like the typical sound of a CD being inserted and spinning up to speed. I thought it was my DVD drive, in fact until after 5 minutes I wondered why my drive was still spinning. I checked and the bays were empty, leading me to discover it was the graphics card fan. It is far too noisey. If graphics cards need to have a fan operating at such a speed to make that much noise, it's probably time to go back to the drawing board and re-design cards to be lower power/heat consuming to not need a fan that is noiser than my overall system fan. My PC went from whisper quiet to as noisey as a stand-up fan on high overnight. My initial research found no manufacturer-offered way to reduce the fan speed so, it likely is not designed to run any slower. So, chances are, despite the fact the car is okay at all else, this thing is going back to the store for a quieter operating fan...
