  • "Test it with Half-Life 2!"
    on

Pros Superb quality with no visual faults and extremely fast on both video editing (Adobe Premiere)and gameplay (Half-Life 2 as an example)both of which test the card to the max.

Cons None except it could be a little cheaper!

    Pros Fast and good fps

    Cons Overheats, Unstable

Summary You can play all the top games out there (BF 2142, Halo, Supreme Commander) with very good fps. However x800 overheats a lot. I have 4 fans in my computer and whenever I play a couple hrs of bf2142 the temperature shoots to 60-70 degrees Celsius. THAT'S HOT. And when that happens, your computer restarts to prevent any damage. It gets annoying because if you're on it playing games the entire day, it can restart on you 2-3 times. Other than that, this card is everything a gamer needs, unless you're into the extreme.

  • "to the person saying it's too powerful"
    on by soren202

    Pros fast, very very fast

Cons outside of the price, nothing, I'm sure

Summary of course, you must remember that this card's speed is useless until you get a better cpu, since the card can only draw the screens as many times as the cpu can tell it to.

there are processers out there that have the speed to keep up with this card, so thus, it is worth it to buy this card, as long as you don't mind spending the other few hundred dollars on a fancy new dual core processor

  • "Best graphics card ever"
    on by jswriter

Pros Fast, silky smooth gameplay, runs cool

    Cons none so far

Summary I replaced a BFG GeForce 6800 GT with the MSI X800 XT Platinum Edition and have been very pleased with the improved performance. All of my games (HL2, Doom 3, Riddick, FarCry, etc.), videos, DVDs play far better than with my 6800. My X800 XT PE also runs cooler than the 6800 which makes a big difference in my Hornet Pro SFF PC. The X800 XT PE is a perfect match for my Dell 2405 widescreen monitor, too. Another plus for the MSI version is its 3-year warranty. Sapphire only offers a 1-year warranty for their graphics cards.

  • "Best ever made"

Pros its one of the fastest cards i have ever had in my CPU!!! I was looking for something that could handle HalfLife 2 with no problems and if did just that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons just the price! other then that no problems at all
