Pros Fast ; quiet; inexpensive; ATI (enough said)
Cons Ummm....mine has a shiny metal cover on it, so you can only see 'ATI' when the fan is stopped.
Summary Amazing card!!! Was on the brink of buying a 6800 GT, but noticed that this card was less expensive...but faster. Runs everything at max resolution and quality, never stumbles.
Pros 16 pixel pipe rendering is great and the acceleration for this PCI card is impressive. PCI-e with power strap attatched would need a neo or tru power supply and compete with a G70 competitor.
Cons ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ati 5.12v driver
Summary This is awsome for 250w-350w oem power supplies. Everything queded well below operational temperature mid-lines. Does better than a 12 pixel pipe card in smoothness; but, the speed is relative. Nothing needed.
Pros Outstanding graphics
Cons Card locked up after 4 months-quit working
Summary When I first got the X800XL I thought -Wow!! Great performance- decent price. However, my card conked out after 4 months and had to be replaced (causing all kinds of other probs in my computer system).
Pros Performs fantastic with my system!
Cons None that I have found.
Summary I purchased the x800XL with the heat pipes and it runs quiet and fantastic. I run all my games (Guild Wars, BF2, etc..) with settings maxed out and have xero problems
I have a AMD 64 3500+ with a Epox MOBO Nvidia Nforce 4 chip set, 1 gig Patriot ram and an 80 gb hard drive. Everythings run smooth and great.
I have a friend who has a similar setup with a GF 7800 GT and my card runs neck in neck with it during game play. Until they come out with games with higher settings this card is the bomb.
Pros Easy install and good graphics
Cons Still can not run Doom 3 on ultra graphics settings. Sometimes causes computer to dump after play F.E.A.R
Summary I think this card is probably the best you can buy for under $300. I had a GeForce 6600 before and then bought an ATI x700 which still had problems running F.E.A.R. so I went with the highest model they had at circuit city. I no long have problems running F.E.A.R. the graphics are very clean, however I guess I just want more and probably can not get better with out going to a duel video card set up, which I don’t have the money for.
