"800 thumbs up"
on by tyco49Pros Great clock speed+ gogeous graphics+HL2
Cons not as good at lighting effects
Summary This card is solid, I don't know what the other reviewers are thinking! I have 512 kingston memory and a gigabyte mother board and it runs like a dream. I never lag on any game and when I buy a new game I just crank teh graphics up all the way with no problem! Far Cry made me cream my pants and HL2 knocked me oput cold. The hardware also helps with RTS games like Dawn o' War to produce thousands of models at no lag and amazing quality.

Cons Has a problem with rendering lighting in high quality.
Summary This card is fine for anything thats out there now(Oct.'05). My machine only has 512mb of ram but I can still run recent pc games(ie. Far Cry) at very high quality.I do alot of multitasking so I need a Video Card that can keep up. Also later down the line I want to use this PC for a media center.

"Big bang - Small buck"
on by SPARTAN VIPros The new value card (like the 9800Pro before it)
Cons Doesn't support SM3.0
Summary Bought this card for my dad at Tigerdirect for $200! That's about $30-$50 under its competitors. He upgraded from a 9600SE, can play FarCry at 1156x864 Max settings, 4xAA 4xAF. He's one happy father.

"X800 Pro is Solid Video Card"
on by marksmePros Speed and Graphic's Quality
Cons Runs just a tiny bit hot
Summary Reading some of the reviews, it's obvious there a some people so emotionally attached to Nvidia and it's GeForce 6600 GT cards, they won't give ATI credit, when credit is due. You get the idea these geeks are in love with the Nvidia girl on the box? For once I like to read a honest review from Nvidia geek. The CNET test bench figures don'tlie and the ATI X800 and X850 series cards are just amazing. ATI has always made quality graphics cards and have been in the business for years, so it's really nice to see them on top. This is one exceptional card, which gives you brilliant graphics, colors that burst on the screen are brilliant, and it's perfect for any PC gamer. I am very pleased with the one I got from Newegg.com. I would recommend it to anyone running XP. It works great with my P4 3.2Ghz machine with 1gb of PC3200 Ram. I have only a 350 power supply, but it runs this card great..compared that to
the Nvidia 6800 GT cards, which require a 480 power supply!
All and all, you cannot go wrong with this X800 Pro or you can step-up to the X800 XTP, which is the best card on the market.
