"Outstanding Value"

4.5 stars  | on by axekick

Pros

Everything

Cons

Only that it has been on the market for so long

Summary

There are so many graphics cards coming out I cannot recommend one over the other because I do not have time to research them all. However I do not know of a better card for the money than the Radeon 9800 Pro.

"THIS CARD IS SWEET!"

Pros

Easy install, great graphics, doesn't break the bank.

Cons

Drivers are out of date on the cd.

Easy physical install, didn't take more than 10 minutes. The software is easy enough to install but the drivers are out of date. This caused a blue screen for me. A quick call to ATI's tech support and I was back in business. Didn't even need to replace anything. The graphics are smooth though and it doesnt run as hot as people might think. my case temp only went up about 5-7 degrees F. This could be a problem for some people however so you may want an extra fan or two. Overall this card rocks!

"Fan connectors are junk plastic"

Pros

Works great until it dies

Cons

Born to die plastic spring connectors hold on the fan

Summary

If they just used a couple screws to hold the fan on the card would be great, but they didn't so buy a couple as the cheapo plastic pins used to hold that vibrating high RPM fan on will die and when it does your card will fry.
