  • "DONT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!"

Pros First off I have to say I was appaled when I saw the reviews posted on the site seems like some people dont know how to use the plenty of features of the card. First off, you can input component video to the card (like a playstation of VCR) and record th

Cons - Crashes if you are hogging system resources (only happened to me twice) - Lets you copy TV shows onto DVD's :) - THE REVIEWS ON THIS WEBSITE ARE REDICULOUS

  • "awesome until overheats [constantly]"
    on by zimman01

    Pros Stellar when working

Cons Overheats often (5 - 30 minutes) when intense gaming

Summary Any graphics-intensive modern (>2004) game will cause this card to overheat within 1 hour for sure , sometimes 5 minutes. Works great until lockup. TV tuner part is not as bad as I have read -- works fine and was pretty simple to learn, software does what it is supposed to. If had to do over, woulkd not buy this card however -- overheat-lockup is too frustrating!

  • "It does everything you ask it to...."

Pros I've been running this card since jan '04 and have had nothing but success with this card. I am an interactive media student using programs such as the basics like Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premiere Pro but I also render out of combustion (after eff

Cons Software updates are cumbersome and if your not careful, can end up in some bad situations. The Hydravision feature is worthless and you cant move the tv from the main desktop to the extended desktop. Other than that, and the fact that it has only 1 dvi

  • "driver problems galore"
    on by jerbella1998

Pros when working capable of doing just about everything

Cons pay per call support only, many problems

Summary I haven't been able to get the TV to play from my VCR since I've had the card. My old ATI All-In-W - did it fine. Support told me to get the latest drivers - of course. The latest drivers they reffered to I was told later by another tech supp. weren't for my card. Got the right ones, update drivers (very difficult) and it didn't fix the problem. Back 2 months later with audio problems, drivers still difficult to install and still haven't fixed my problem. 4 west coast support ends at 3pm.

  • "Software is a mess"
    on by hsteimer

    Pros Good Hardware ?

    Cons Horrible, buggy software

Summary Maybe the hardware is OK, but the software denies all the good features.
It is impossible to install the software without numerous, unexplained error messages.
It is also impossible to uninstall the software as it leaves numerous buggy files and drivers behind. A re-install rendered the system inoperable. Each ‘update’ worsens the situation.
The ATI help site is just a confusing mess. Wonder what the ATI software development and help team is smoking…
Right now the card works with the minimum software install (no TV, Catalyst, etc.).
Any of those features will crash the system.
