Question

Word97 Insert Control B

by volvogirl / February 19, 2013 4:58 PM PST

Is there a way to insert or type the keystroke Control+B in Word97? I want to insert the ctrl+B before a sentence so when I copy that sentence it will format it bold. Right now even if my sentence is bold the formating is not being copied. I am copying to an answer box in an online forum. If I use Auto HotKeys I can put in
{Ctrl Down}B{Ctrl Up}before and it works. So is there something similar I can do in Word?

I don't think so. Just type ctrl-B in the answer box before copying the text behind it. It's exactly the same amount of typing, I think.

I'm c/p long text and only need 1 or 2 lines bolded for headings.

In this answer box (if you turn the visual editor on) you can make text bold by the and tags (omit the spaces!). You can enter those in any word processor. But it's easier to just select it and press the B-button.
