Windows xp will not update

by joss104 / January 6, 2007 9:22 AM PST

I had to reinstall my windows xp after a crash. Now when I run windows updates it will not find any. I have tried to install SP 2 but it will not find or update. This is the second time in a year that I had to reinstall windows but the first time windows update found 64 updates and now it will find none. The update screen will scroll the bar across like it is searching but nothing is ever found

by DarCLew2 / January 6, 2007 9:33 AM PST

In Windows/System32 there should be 3 files, ne is wudmgr, wuauclt &
wuauclt1. If missing you won't get updates.

them it will be the one for activeX. next is 4 updates only. I had 38 more updates when Service Pack 2 wanted to install, look lower and you get only the updates. It tried again but I got only the updates first. IE7 tried the same stunt. when the last one not done. SP2 deleted the majority of updates the first time but this time only 18 were deleted. I won't let the same mistakes repeat. IE7 only removed 3 updates after it was installed and that was with no updates.

Light bulbs you shouldn't buy

There are plenty of dimmable LED light bulbs, but make sure you don't buy the ones that flicker when you dial them down.
