Windows live mail contacts list problem

<div id="post_message_8213295" class="tsgmessage"><div class=""KonaBody""><!-- google_ad_section_start -->We have a HP laptop,
Windows 7 OS, and using Windows <a style="text-decoration: underline !important; position: static;" id="KonaLink1" class="kLink" href="http://forums.techguy.org/web-email/1035109-windows-live-mail-contacts-list.html#" jquery1326038566396="2"><font style="color: green !important; font-family: verdana,arial,tahoma,geneva,lucida,sans-serif; font-size: 12.8pt; font-weight: 400; position: static;" color="green"><span style="color: green !important; font-family: verdana,arial,tahoma,geneva,lucida,sans-serif; font-size: 12.8pt; font-weight: 400; position: relative;" class="kLink">Live <span style="color: green !important; font-family: verdana,arial,tahoma,geneva,lucida,sans-serif; font-size: 12.8pt; font-weight: 400; position: relative;" class="kLink">Mail</font></a> (WLM). We cannot find our contacts list to
delete some contacts. We did find it in <a style="text-decoration: underline !important; position: static;" id="KonaLink2" class="kLink" href="http://forums.techguy.org/web-email/1035109-windows-live-mail-contacts-list.html#" jquery1326038566396="1"><font style="color: green !important; font-family: verdana,arial,tahoma,geneva,lucida,sans-serif; font-size: 12.8pt; font-weight: 400; position: static;" color="green"><span style="color: green !important; font-family: verdana,arial,tahoma,geneva,lucida,sans-serif; font-size: 12.8pt; font-weight: 400; border-bottom-color: green; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-bottom-style: solid; position: relative; background-color: transparent;" class="kLink">Hotmail</font></a> (which we don't use) and tried to delete
them there but it did not work. The other laptop we have has WLM in it also but
"contacts" folder is accessable in the WLM menu. How do we get the same access
on the first? Are there two different versions of WLM? Both versions were down
loaded from Internet.
Thank you.<!-- google_ad_section_end --></div></div>

I tried a few times to read past all the HTML clutter. It's not entirely your fault but happens when you past content that is RICH.

Sorry about that, the question is: we have an one HP laptop, Windows 7 OS and Windows Live Mail and are unable to find the contacts list to delete some addresses. I found a list under Hotmail (which we do not use) and tried to delete them there but couldn't. We have a second HP laptop the same as above and the contacts (folder?) shows up in the WLM menu and I can delete contacts. I have noticed the versions of WLM in the computers look different, are there two different versions?
Both were downloaded from the internet at different times.
Sorry for the confusion.

It's very ugly.

I have tried that but only get a contact screen with nothing there but a HP logo and my name. So in WLM when I pick "to" to send an email, where does that list come from. As I mentioned in my original posting there is a list called "XP contact list" in an Excel format and it does not match exactly the list I get when I pick "to" to send an email. I think it is associated with Hotmail.
I am about to give up.

But isn't Hotmail the web based email? My answers do not apply to web based email.

In reply to: Sorry.

Why am I suddenly not able to import contacts from hotmail &
live.com accounts..I have imported my hotmail contacts for a previous
event, but now I keep getting a "login failed" screen whey trying to
import for a new event..

I'm left to guess too much about your import.

Import to what? And why didn't you export those contacts to some intermediate if direct access fails?

I know this is frustrating but I can't guess what app is the target for the contacts.
