It seems odd to use URLs to launch apps. I wonder if you meant the path and the name of the app?

My guess is the association for the shortcut or .LNK has been hijacked. This is very easy to solve as we use system restore to the day before the issue.

I am running Windows 7 professional. All shortcuts are showing the spider solitaire image, although the properties show the correct url and the name of the shortcut is correct. When I click on a shortcut spider solitaire starts up. How can I fix this situation so that shortcuts work correctly?
