Question

Why is my IPOD screen white?

by PastryMan / June 11, 2013 9:24 AM PDT

Why is my IPOD screen white? I have a 3rd generation Ipod nano. When I toggle it on, the screen lights up, but is blank. Is there a fix for this problem? I have reset and reformatted my Ipod with no success. After several on/off cycles it will usually return to a normal screen, but it is very time consuming. My Ipod still works when the the screen goes bright white- I just can't see anything to adjust, etc. Thanks for any info.

Did you research "How to fix my ipod?" on the web and read up how to disassemble, clean and put it back together?

And would you replace the main board?
Bob

Quote. Hey i just learned how to fix the white screen of death all you do is hold the home button then while still holding down the home button hold volume up button then while still holding those buttons go head and hold the power off button and hold that until you see the apple sign and THIS REALLY WORKS SO TRY IT.

Many good replies to this but I'm no expert.

Dafydd.
