Why can't I FTP from external hard drive?

by timmax9 / December 4, 2012 4:42 AM PST

I'm trying to FTP files from my external hard drive to my server. But I'm unable to do this because my FTP sofware does not see the external hard drive. The hard drive is mounted and I can view the files in Finder window, but FTP does not see the drive. Please advise... much appreciated.

In my world of UNIX, BSD, Linux and this OS-X the drive is unlike "Windows" is under some mount point. I don't want to upset you but look again.

Thanks for the redirection... I was thinking Windows style... I found the drive in the Volumes\Time Machine folder.
