Never mention that game to me. It's got the most immature audience I have witnessed in my life. I was persuaded by my friends to start it. I think having friends who played the game was probably the only reason I played it. I made quite a few good friends online as well which was nice, but the community is like giving all the Digg and YouTube trolls a personification of themselves in the form of an MMO. The community itself is full of losers who want to find a girlfriend, when it turns out, you're e-dating some dude who likes to cross-play. They should stick to e-harmony, or day care. Most of them fit in the latter. There is however, a small minority, like a finding-a-dinosaur-fossil-in-your- backyard kind of minority, of good people in the game. It's a game where unless you have no life, and manage to train up your character into the high levels, or the zone where you can get the respect of people, you're pretty much stuck with people calling you a noob, harassing you, flaming you, and otherwise verbally assaulting you. I've seen "Girls" (otherwise known as a guy in a female avatar) being harassed by another guy. The only thing screwed up about that, is both of them enjoy it.... I've moved on to games which offer a mature community. Not a group of kindergarteners who can call themselves 25. There's something soo preschool about Runescape now... I used to enjoy it until I couldn't ignore the crap any longer.

To answer your question, yes, and no. I used to play it, and thought a MMO in your browser is a killer Web2.0 app, but it was Bull's Hit as we'd all like to say...

I am still playing Runescape, especially since I found a Runescape guide called Shad's Billionaire. It has made the game so much fun.
