Which should I buy? Sony or HP

by sexiangel / December 27, 2010 5:47 AM PST

I am uncertain on which laptop I should buy and I am looking for some advice on which is a great buy.

The choices are:
1)Sony Vaio EF series Notebook (VPCEF34FDBI)$799.99 + taxes

2)HP Pavilion dv7-4170us Entertainment Notebook PC $949.99 (but there is a $300 online coupon)

Thanks for the advice guys Happy

As I use such for authoring apps the CPU is a non-starter for me. But for web browser and no games (card games should be fine) both look too close to call.

Hi Isabella
I will be using it for a lot for word processing and power point presentaions since I am a writer and a university student. I will also be streaming tv shows, watching movies and a few PC games like playing Tetris.

I would get the Sony Vaio. I have one and it is the best computer that I've ever purchased. Not one problem.
