Which player to buy?

by yogevaner / June 28, 2010 11:11 PM PDT

my Iriver H340 has past away and im not sure which player to buy. can you please advise?

the main thing for me is the music. Capacity- i want more than 40GB, and also high quality sound.
Also very important for me is the compatibility to computers- a player than can easily be connected to the PC, and copy music to/from as an external drive (plug and play) without being tied to a specific store/ software which i guess rules out Ipods, because of the connectivity only to iTunes.

also of course i want it to have fm radio.

Thanks a lot!

You don't need iTunes with an iPod

There ARE options other than iTunes (though drag-n-drop through File Explorer--or similar app--isn't one of them).

High cap 40GB and above, no proprietary software and great SQ...tough to put together into any current product. Nothing I can think of, at least still in production.

Was thinking Cowon S9, but the largest size is only 32GB.
