Question

Which one? The LG 37LV3500 or the Panasonic VIERA TC-L37E3?

by rockman00zero / July 9, 2011 7:28 AM PDT

I am looking to buy a new HDTV that is going to be used mostly for gaming and watching movies. Which of the two should I buy? Also does anyone know the response time of the Panasonic? And does the LG come with an IPS screen?

Two months down the line, none answered your post here, but I have the same exact question!! Assuming you already bought one, or clarified this dilemma, can you post your experience or even others chip in?? Appreciated.

lucacoleman, if that question was directed to me, NO I haven't yet, but desperately want to decide b/w one of them! Same purpose of gaming first & then watching movies!
Was wondering what rockman00 did??
Or if anyone else on CNET has a suggestion between the two??

Hi, I have the 42lv3500 and
absolutely love it. It has 3 hdmi's which for some reason is hard to
find now (I have been looking to get a bigger LG) I imagine the picture
is the same on the 37". I game on it and find it not bad for lag
compared to many other tv's I have tried (except plasma). I enjoy the
punchy clear picture and all the calibration settings. Also, I am able
to customize the picture for each input, which not all tvs do (unknown
why) Lastly, it is super thin!

Hope this helped!

P.S. I have
been looking to no avail for professional picture settings for this line
of tv's and CNET obviously missed these tv's when they came out. I am
glad to see they are finally starting to review tvs that are under $1000
