Which i9000?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / October 17, 2012 8:00 AM PDT

"The Galaxy S i9000 is available in international markets and can be purchased unlocked in the United States. However, there also variations of the device available from North American carriers, including the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile, the Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint, the Samsung Captivate for AT&T, and the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon."

Where I'm standing right now the Sprint version is not a good "phone." That is Sprint's coverage at my exact location makes that version a bad phone.

I hope you get the issue I'm writing about. You should know that the network coverage can make a good phone seem pretty bad.

i9000 is a lot better than Ace 2. Ace 2 with its poor display with low resolution and smaller screen size is not worth it. Pinch to zoom is laggy and low resolution makes readability poor. i9000 with bigger screen size and higher resolution (480x800) ,better processor, should be obvious the choice over Ace 2.
