Any of the Kindles or Nooks will work

I have a Kindle Fire I use because I want color, but I hear good things about the Kindle Paperwhite if you don't need color. It's cheaper and works in sunlight (the Kindle Fire isn't very legible in sunlight). The Barnes and Noble Nook will also work. If you just want talking books, all you need is an MP3 player.

Good luck.

This is determined by the library.

Ask them if you want it to work.
