which bluetooth headset controls music

by komi9 / April 3, 2013 5:09 AM PDT

I'm looking for a single ear bluetooth headset that can not only stream music, but can also start and stop the music with a button on the headset. I listen to podcasts a lot, and if someone stops to speak to me, I'd like to be able to pause the media player without pulling my phone out.

I had a Jabra BT620s that did this (on an older phone), but I don't want a two-ear headset anymore. Then I had the Blueant Q2, and it couldn't do it. So I specifically sought out one with AVRCP and bought the Motorola Elite Sliver. But it can't do this either. Does anyone know of a single-ear headset that does this? I'm surprised it's so hard to find, but maybe I'm just searching poorly.

I have an HTC EVO 4G (not the LTE version). I'm running CyanogenMod-7.1.0-Supersonic. It's Android 2.3.7.

I appreciate any help! Thanks!

I thought you were asking me about the game Halo2, and I was struggling to figure out the relationship. But then I found out that there is a headset called Jabra Halo2. Happy So thank you for the suggestion!

But I am looking for a mono headset. Thanks!

Well you could always do a van Gogh on this one.

Good luck in your search but I'd call Jabra's sales and ask. A lot faster.

Another manufacturer.....

I had the Blueant Q2, until it's battery died on me. It was a "smart" headset that was preprogrammed with a bunch of features I didn't care for. But after having it for a while I came to like it. But I couldn't pause music with it. The best I could do was turn the headset off with the switch, and that would automatically stop the media player.

I have heard mention of a Q3, so maybe that's something I should check out.

Thanks for the suggestion!
