On the screen at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/screenshots/screen/ccleaner4 you see you can delete that entry.
This list is in the registry and AFAIK it still works on ME.
Having recently experience a failed application installation I would like to know where Windows ME stores the list of installed applications.
The application in question is showing in the "Add/Remove programs" list but now all references to that application have been removed from the registry. Any attempt to Modify/Repair/Remove the application result in installer errors 1605 or 1628. I've deleted the contents of the Windows TEMP directory but to no avail. Is there a solution other than reinstalling the O/S?
