Where is the Windows ME applications list?

by ramchip / August 9, 2010 7:13 PM PDT

Hello folks!
Having recently experience a failed application installation I would like to know where Windows ME stores the list of installed applications.
The application in question is showing in the "Add/Remove programs" list but now all references to that application have been removed from the registry. Any attempt to Modify/Repair/Remove the application result in installer errors 1605 or 1628. I've deleted the contents of the Windows TEMP directory but to no avail. Is there a solution other than reinstalling the O/S?
Regards, ramchip

I think the easy tool here is CCleaner.

Problem solved

Thanks Bob. I've been a user of that software for some time but had not used the tools option before. I can confirm it works on WinME and solved the problem for me.
