Resolved Question

Where did my MS Word and Excel go?

I don't know how, but MSWord and MSExcel have left my computer! I have files to prove these programs were here, but no programs! How could programs just vanish? I've searched for the application in Office but to no avail. I've looked in windows.old, nada. Searched the whole computer and the
I'm stumped and ticked.
Any ideas?

You probably just lost the shortcuts

It's easy to drag something from the Start menu and inadvertently drop it somewhere. But that doesn't remove the programs. Click Start and in the search box type WINWORD or EXCEL and you should find Word and Excel respectively.

Nope...I wish that were the case

I did all you suggested and nothing was returned.

I'm going to now try to reinstall Office for Student and Home and see if that does it.

I chose 'run from my computer' Excel and Word as they had a red 'x' next to them in the programs available list.

You might want to boot to Safe Mode

I'd boot to Safe Mode and check for viruses. Something strange about those red Xs.
