What ISP offers a Good Dial UP Plan?

by 1Mike123 / April 7, 2011 12:28 AM PDT

On my limited Budget I am looking for a New ISP that offers Dial UP. I am wondering oif any are still out there. Seems that my PeoplePc is now longer offering any kind if Tech Support and if you use their ONLINE Chat they offer solutions that never fix or help.

Today with requiring you have some kind of ISP to do Job Searches and ability to apply for a job because no companies accept anything other than a online application today makes it hard to find a job. As of late seems my PeoplePc has all kinds of issues requiring me to consistently restart my computer. To access simple webpages. Seems they also change the software they are using and then you also get all kinds of errors including script errors. Since Microsoft stopped supporting Outlook Express for Emails PeoplePc has dropped it as a usable email program when getting attachments. SInce you can no longer email TEch Support which then never informed you of the change you have to learned it when you now never get any replies back to your emails if it gets to them. Also all the information on PeoplePc is no longer valid. I sent a letter to what was to be their San Fransicio Office and it was return that the P.O. was closed. Guess they moved now to Atlanta GA asking for Tech Help.

So I am wondering iof there is any low cost ISP that work. I switched over to ATT/Yahoo (DSL) and had nothing but problems. Has ATT gotten better than when they were with Yahoo? My homepages was always changing and they suggested you could try the new version and if you did not like it could switch back but that never worked and emails were not accessable and today needing email service for job hunting I am not sure why is available besides high cost Cable at 60.00 a month. Just can not affird that much maybe 20.00 but again just looking for one that has good tech support and easy access to the internet with decent email service???

Any suggsetions or is it not possible to find a Dial Up ISP these days???

Thanks,
1Mike123

You're right but one thing.

Support is not included at those prices. Many are not being told that so I will.

The problems are too often not the dial or DSL's fault. What would you do in their stead when you show another machine works fine?

In other words, do you expect them to fix your machine for the same prices?

You can still find dial up these days. Even free dialup that is offered by netzero juno or other isp's although limited to some areas. For about $5-10/mo you can find decent dial up Internet service provider. Good website that tracks dial up ISP's - http://www.freedomlist.com
