Question

What is my domain?

by ChuckJTS-23427222252684036696820606199520 / January 13, 2013 8:34 AM PST

I have verizon and I've called tech support and they don't know what their domain is. They think it is incoming.verizon.net and outgoing.verizon.net but Windows 8 wants to know what my domain is and neither one works.

I am trying to add my Outlook email using an Windows 8 App

I am trying to add my Outlook account in Windows 8 using an app that is on the first tile screen. I called Verizon and the technician didn't know but he also gave a different answer that they only give out my domain to business accounts. (I do not have a business account).

The screen I am getting says:
Add your Outlook account.
Enter the information below to connect to your Outlook account.

Email address
Server address
Domain
Username
Password

I've tried to use this app several times, Verizon is not helpful and the help on the internet looks totally different than the information required in this screen. I asked in the Windows 8 forum but was given the name of an alternate email program to use. Someone else was trying to help me but they didn't email me this weekend so I guess he doesn't have an answer either.

I've tried entering different information but it says, "Unable to connect. Ensure the information you've entered is correct." No help is given by this app and I'm stuck.

It started with two fields and ended with five last night.

The questions started with two fields, expanded to four and last night I got a fifth field in the questions. It is not going so good. I could try tonight but it is sort of like the game Mastermind where I have to rule everything out and it takes a long time.
