Question

What is Monetomi?

by NetworkStudent2013 / September 3, 2013 7:17 AM PDT

I have discovered a program on my system named Monetomi. I tried to search online for a reference and found nothing. I am not sure if it is a virus, spyware, etc,. If someone could provide me with some insight as to the nature of this program and what I should do with it, I would appreciate it.

Mulligan?

I looked at that search and it wasn't much help. I think we need to dig deeper. How about a mulligan on this one?
As in I can make this like it never happened.

I went to that site (thanks for telling), clicked on contact and got a server error.

Do you trust their tools (Compare, Deals, Inline, Related, Review, and Search) to work hard for you behind the scenes if they can't even get their own three page website working?

I found that site but it was not working at the time. Why I tried it was to see if they offer some app with that name.

But as you noted, it was dead.

I also unfortunately received this Monetomi program.

I would appreciate if you told me how you were able to get rid of it.
I tried to delete Monetomi but it runs in the background. I also tried to uninstall it but I fear that Monitomi's uninstaller will only add to the problem.

Then use REVO UNINSTALLER.

I simply HATE it when someone (or persons) deliberately plants a file or folder that is REALLY Hard to delete or remove.

I got this Monetomi THANG (about 45 minutes ago) in a bundle from an "open source" download manager when I went to download software to create a picture-show DVD.

It was HELL getting rid of it as I tried everything (I could throw at it)!
SO Finally I had to Bring Out the heavy artillery out via my Linux Knoppix Live USB.
It zapped it . . . SO No More Monetomi or any other hard to delete file or folder!!!

Glad to be of help as I am giving back to the guys (or gals) who have helped me in the past with my Internet-Computer related questions . . . thanks a bunch. I appreciate it.
Let us know how it goes for you.

- - to create a Live USB (instead of the usual Live CD to fix things) go to this link: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
The task is relatively easy!
