What iPad apps are available for territory sales managers?

by TedNoone / March 26, 2012 7:09 PM PDT

Hi, I'm a territory sales manager and I oversee sales of small stores in 5 states. What iPad apps are out there that would help me map the stores I have to visit each week? Basically I would like to enter the addresses of all the stores, categorize them as store 1 through x and in the top quartiles so that I visit the top 25% every week, middle 50% every other week, and bottom 25% every three weeks. I would also like it to figure out logistics schedules and travel times. For now, It appears as though nothing is out there and I'm using at least 3 programs to keep track of everything.

I wouldn't say there's nothing out there

It's still probably a little early in the product cycle for this sort of app from a full-functioning standpoint, since the laptop is still king as a productivity tool for the road warrior. Finding the right one that meets your needs may be the biggest challenge though. My guess is you could reduce it to the CRM app plus one additional app until you found one that did it all.

Here's one I saw online. Don't know it's full feature set though.

Sales territory management software for the iPad

Hi Ted, this is an old post, but you didn't get your quesiton answered. What you need is called the Badger Map. You can upload a spreadsheet of stores addresses and other information (like the quartiles you mentioned) into Badger (or connect your CRM to it if you have them stored there). Then you have all the store information on the iPad. You can building routes and travel times and automatically integrate those routes with a calendar. I would not be exaggerating if I said that this app in combination with my ipad made me twice as effective at my job (I'm also in sales).

Good Luck!
