Resolved Question

What does w/FS in computer ads mean?

by Ezrway / May 6, 2013 7:08 AM PDT

I keep seeing "w/FS" in many of the emails I get like one I got from CNET today. I pasted the title that contains the "w/FS" used in the email below:

"Lenovo G580 Ivy Bridge i3 16-inch Laptop for $360 w/FS"

I have done quite a few searches and I'm probably going to feel stupid when I get the answer, but what does the "w/FS" mean?

Thanks!

Of course you could try other words that start with S.

Words that start with "s" could be spam, stuff, spyware, screen, spikes and a few others but shipping is usually the answer.

The only ones who should feel stupid or embarrassed are those who are too lazy to spell out the words.

Thanks for the obvious answer Bob.

I too had to finally look this up after seeing it pasted all over the internet ad universe.

I felt pretty intimidated for not knowing and now I feel pretty ......well....embarrassed.... for failing to see the obvious.

Thanks Again Bob

The only bad question is the one we didn't ask.

And my embarrassing moment in tech? Story follows.

"My pager (wow, dating myself here?) had stopped working and during lunch at the mall I stood in line with the others to see "the guy." I got to the front and handed my dead pager to him where he opened up the battery compartment to flip the battery over and close it up. As he handed it back he called out "Next!""

I hung my head and crawled away.
