now its working-what about yesterdays problem
by pasupula123 / March 17, 2009 2:59 AM PDT

march13th we placed an order,at that time they said march 17th it will be delivared, but know they saying march 24th or 5weeks latter is the delivery date, as they dont have stock. The problem is
after 1 week we are leaving town perminently .

so iwant cancel my order ,no one responding my call, and i try to call all numbers from the website,to reach correct person atleast no one anwsering.
today also we are trying, from morning 9.am CST.

My experiences with dell customer service

1) 03/16/09 morning 9.00 am the call was in hold for 30 min, i hanged the phone.

2)03/16/09 morning 11.00 am lady called july answered my call by taking all my order details, and informed me my order shiped, so they cant cancel the order at this time.

3)03/16/09 afternoon 3.00 pm i tried to call the samme customer number,a person called deepak answered my call, againhe took all my order details, diverted my call to another person, he told me that " Under certain circumstances they cant cancel the order because they dont have stock expecting them in 5 to 6 weeks & he took my
E-mail id and contact phone numberm, advised me to call the cancellation deportment after 4 hours.

Hence by evening 7.45 pm i tried to call the cancellation deportment from my mobile number, directly its going to porn web site, againg i tried to reach same dell cancellation deportment with another land number its working properly. To make proof, I recorded that call with my cell phone, and Cam carder, saying that dell employees are diverting calls from my mobile phone.

1)
03/17/09 morning 9.00 Againg i called the dell site , as soon as response from CNET. Here you said that phone number not belongs to dell. Its ok as even you dont know that , the phone number-1-877-868-3355 (DELL sending in their email to all their customers) Existing

2)03/17/09 morning 10.am , i tried to catch another lady, she told me that she cant pull the data as she is having limited access, so she said she id diverting the call to small business center, i was waiting on the phone for 42 mins, no response, hence i hang the phone.

3)03/17/09 morning 11.18 am (CST) i tried to call the same cancellation deprotment, again person called NASH took the call, said to wait 3 mins to pull my data. was waiting for 25 mins.

4)03/17/09 morning 11.55 i am postong all my experiences with DELL.

Proofs,
1)i am recording all call from 16th march.
2)Video recording for the porn sex chat with dell customer number, only for my mobile number.

Conclusion:

Who will cancel my order, as i wont stay in this town after 20th march

Thanks for your patience

Can you please do me a big favor and start a new thread explaining your issue to them--after all this thread here is a welcome note from the Dell staff member and I don't want to make it more off-topic that it already is.

Thanks I appreciate it.

Phone Number
by Dellirious1 / April 7, 2009 3:59 AM PDT

That's a number that was sent out as a long time ago as a typo from Dell, terribly embarrassing but not likely to be on purpose unless it was put there by some disgruntled employee.

As much as I adamantly disagree with this forum's existence, I do not think it is fair to dig old skeleton from the closet.

Disturbed
by Dellirious1 / April 6, 2009 6:11 PM PDT

Am I the only one that finds this terribly disturbing?

The Dell forums are absolutely unusable, tech support at support.dell.com is a disgrace, and now we have...

Dell forums hosted at the people that are giving Dell product these great reviews, arms length support (legal issues?) from Dell employees, where is the accountability here?

Even the forums are being outsources...

What is going on?

I don't get it

Is this forum going to replace the Dell Community Forum? I'm confused. What about all the hype about the new and improved Dell Community Forum? Did Dell give up because everyone left?

Having a Manufacturer's forum on a site like this isn't good, I don't think. Although it is a much better forum interface-wise, doesn't it give the impression Dell doesn't have good enough software engineers to build and run their own help and technical assistance site? Sure does to me.

In reply to: I don't get it

This is at very least a conflict of interest, at worst another way of confusing and disillusioning Dell customers.

How can one confidently deal with a company that has no confidence in its own community? What company with any strategic sense would direct its customers to go elsewhere for their online resources, even from a simplistic marketing perspective this makes no sense.

There is something fundamentally wrong with this approach and just shows how far Dell has strayed from what made them a great company in the past. Dell's greatness was in being direct with its customers, today they have abandoned even their most ardent supporters.

This is ludicrous!

Thank you for the warm welcome - and no reply in a month!

Well this bodes well everyone, Jesse gives us a warm welcome, and nothing else for a month.

What a Surprise!

"Thank you for holding, your call is important to us. Please hold while we outsource your call to the lowest bidder."

Have some commitment to you customers, many came here with a very positive attitude and are already disillusioned by your lack of follow up.

CNET get out, or just plainly sell out!

Unhappy Campers?
by Bugbatter / April 17, 2009 7:01 AM PDT

My goodness! It sounds as if there are some unhappy folks in here who are jumping to conclusions. I'm fairly sure Dell's intention is to reach out to help folks on other forums but not to replace the Dell Community. As far as I know, work is continuing on Dell Community improvements.

Unhappy and Disillusioned

In reply to: Unhappy Campers?

Bugbatter,

You need to be commended for the fabulous work you do on the dell forums (I assume it is the same bugbatter).

I will not argue the state of Dell's forums and customer relations in general. It is quite obvious very little has changed there since the disastrous updates which must now be closing in on a year ago.

The second poll on 'Next Steps for community Site' is still up. No replies or updates on what is being done. This poll closed February 18th, without any response from the moderators. The first poll was full of suggestions, and also never received any response from Dell.

Now there is a decent functioning forum here, but one cannot seriously consider this relationship between CNET and Dell as being a good thing for the customer. I think it is ludicrous to argue that this relationship does not taint the reviews and editorial content of CNET. One can certainly no longer perceive CNET to be unbiased with respect to Dell.

Finally, if Dell does have any confidence or consideration for improving their forums, they could simply advertise and link to their site.

Yes, I am unhappy and disillusioned. I was once a very strong believer in Dell. I find the general attitude of arrogance and ignorance Dell displays toward their customers these days repugnant. I understand the joys of helping out in these forums, however I am amongst many old supporters who have unfortunately left the Dell Community. I still love helping out, and do so gladly in more hospitable places.

It must be said that the Dell Community should be very grateful for dedicated members such as you. Your work is excellent, and your dedication is commendable.
