Question

Weird computer glitch?

by MysticTemptress / November 11, 2013 12:34 PM PST

Sorry new here and very confused while trying to figure out my glitch here.

I some how ran into the glitch about half a year to a year ago and well not quite as common then as it is now. I know I'm connected to the internet, because my status icon says that I'm connected and the fact that I can still get messages from friends and family through skype. But I can not view ANY websites what so ever. I have used IE, Firefox, and Chrome. Still the same glitch.

I have an Acer laptop with with windows 7.
(if you need other information please let me know)

Restart your router. And try restarting your PC. Or updating your video drivers.

Make sure your computer is clean of any malware. Malware has a tendency to cause weird issues. Also if you use a firewall you could try testing if you get the issue with the firewall turned off.

I'd download MalwareBytes and get it up to date, then boot to Safe Mode and let it and your antivirus program do full system scans.

Good luck.
