Web pages keep jumping back to desktop....

by yeeman / January 6, 2010 10:47 AM PST

I just had a massive virus attack & kept figting off this Malware Defense ad every 10 seconds. I tried to un-install my Microsoft Security Essentials because I thought it was corrupted & then couldn't re-install it. I tried AVG & couldn't install that because it said that my Microsoft anti-virus had to be removed completely, even though there wasn't any more Microsoft anti-virus in the programs list. I eventually was able to install Ad-Aware & Trend Micro free programs just to run some scans & clean up the mess. It seemed to help, but now as I check out web pages/ automatically jumps back to the desktop. What now ?
I hope I can get my Microsoft Security Essentials back....soon !!
