Dear Sir/Madam,

After downloading the
and execute it, my anti-virus software had found virus
Win32.Trojan.M in the download and fortunately deleted it immediately.

Just for your information to prevent this damned virus from tarnishing cNet's reputation.

Was it the FREE version of the PST Viewer?
by Carol~ Forum moderator / October 1, 2012 3:07 AM PDT

Was it the FREE version? If so, would you be so kind as to provide the download link? And the name of the your A/V.

I downloaded the free PST Viewer. The file (from the direct link) was named freekernelpstviewer.exe, which seems to be different than the one you report. I scanned it with 4 different scanners. None found a problem with it.

I'm wondering where the difference is. Confused

Whatever the case may be, thanks for taking the time to report your findings.
