TVs are not PCs or Apples and can only decade a fraction (as in play) of the videos a PC or Apple can. To fix this you can re-encode them as needed.
As to the files issue, why not copy off files you forgot to backup then format the stick?
I have a 39" Viera TV 39P(99CMS)FHD. And some mp4, .flv and .mkv files on a 64GB USB flash drive.
Now I have two problems. I can not find any solution for on the web:
1. The movies stop at 12 minutes and do repeat the last couple minutes over and over, but never continue to play. I suspect something like a size limit of movie files. Is it possible the Viera only plays files up to 1GB ? (Thats around 10-14 min. play time of my HD h264 movies.)
2. For each file on the USB drive, Viera Tools shows first a list of empty files, named ._ followed by the movies name, later on, the real files appear. I suspect like an icon file (I create movies and load the flash drive from a Macintosh computer), but I do not see them, neither on a PC nor when looking through hidden files on the Mac. They only appear on the Viera Tools list. How can I get rid of them?
Any suggestions? Thanks, Thom.
