Question

VG-KBD2000 Keyboard Compatibility

by TheKingfish47 / April 29, 2013 11:05 PM PDT

I just purchased a PN51E550 television (2012 model) and enjoy it. Per my research, the above 2013-model portable keyboard seems an upgrade to the prior KBD1500 keyboard. Both can be had for about the same price and I want to touch all the bases before buying. Thus far I have gotten mixed-result feedback as to compatibility with my new TV. Please share your thoughts.
Thank you,
TheKingfish47

Pls let us know how it goes - whether it is fully compatible or not. I am especially interested in whether the touch pad is functional to replace the standard remote control provided with PN64E550. Thanks.

Thank you very much. I had just enough doubt to hold off the VG-KBD2000 purchase, but now I will proceed.

Hi TheKingfish47,

Not a problem. I will add that there may be some buttons for the 2013 model that won't do anything on the 2012, but I'm not 100% sure about that. But it'll work as a keyboard, and that's what you're worried about. Also, I am talking about US models here, so if you're from some other North American country, then the answer should be the same, but I won't promise anything. Have a good one!

Hello there,

I have a samsung un65f6350 smart tv and just purchased the kdb2000 keyboard to use with it.

The keyboard, however, is not synching properly with my tv. The tv also displays a message indicating "not available" . Could you please let me know what I can do to sync the keyboard with the tv?
