Verizon's "2 for 1" sale on the Droid? Discounting already?

by quasar-atl / January 4, 2010 10:33 PM PST

Dear Buzz Gang and Crew,
I thought this was interesting. The all powerful Verizon has begun to offer discounts on the Droid. The phone has only been on the market for a little more than two months and Verizon has decided to offer a 2 for 1 deal.

Okay, I understand the premise of marketshare being the "name of the game" but does this not indicate that Droid sales are beginning to slow down or is Verizon positioning themselves to head off sales of the Google Nexus One?

At any rate, I just found it odd that this 2 for 1 sale would start so soon.

Later people. Wink

Sale cause?
by jamesboulay / February 28, 2011 5:41 AM PST

I'm wondering if the processing speed and amount of freezes has anything to do with the discount? I've already brought my Droid 2 back 3 times because the battery constantly heats up.
