Using Dial Up as an Alternative

by Cedwedge / July 25, 2010 6:44 AM PDT

Most major cities used to have free dialup services that were offered to the public usually reduced cost or for free with limitations. I had an account on one and I think it's still operating although it has something like a 15 minute limit.

I was thinking - how neat would it be to connect this somehow to a mobile phone, so that you could dial up through your phone and access the internet that way. I'm sure there's probably a lot of restrictions but it sounds like it could be done - maybe through a wireless router or something.

Anyone have an idea? Happy
