USB input in LCD TV

Can I connect an external hard drive to the usb port on my lcd tv and use it to record shows?

I don't mean regular ext hard drives but the ones like the TVisto.

the usb port on most tv's are for firmware updates only. there are a one or two tv's out right now with a usb port on the side for a digital camera hook up or mp3 player hook up...but thats about it and 9 times out of 10, your tv probably wont do that.

Yes It is possible to record TV pro-grammes on Hard Drive with Digital Focci Picture Porter which is having 80 GB hard drive with Viewer._Jogarao
