You are in the clear, since using an unlocked phone won't trigger any sort of activation fee. That's only when you go with a new phone through the carrier.
i had an HTC hd2 t-mobile cell phone, which fell and broke just recently. I am still on the contract. I am looking to replace it with an HTC, but now they require the $30 data plan. Will you recommend an unlocked phone, If i buy one, do i just put in the sim card, and i am ready to go.
Activation fee is fine, but not the $30. Will t mobile slap me the $30 just the same because they have identified my new phone as smartphone. Thanks for your help. I need to get one asap as i am studying.
