The problem is that most cable companies are no longer issuing such cards. They did a few years ago so be sure you asked about that.

Have a samsung un55c7000wfxza bought Nov.2010.
Two questions please.
Does this TV have a cable card slot so dont have to use a box from comcast?
Also did read somewhere that this TV can be used for SKYPE.
Does it have a web cam buit in to do so?
My cable company Comcast did tell me today that they have a card. But I had to order the box because I still can not find out if the TV will accept a cable card.
The link does not mention it. So would assume it will not take one. But would like to confirm.
Would also like to confirm if it has a built in web cam to use SKYPE. It does say SKYPE enabled. So I know I can receive incoming SKYPE. Do I have to buy a web cam or mic to plug into the usb in order to have the outgoing SKYPE?
Owners manual does not mention SKYPE at all.
I can confirm that your TV doesn't have a cable card slot. Also, there is no built-in camera for your TV, but there is an accessory listed for it: http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN55C7000WFXZA-accessories
Hope that helps!
