I found the "pin-size" connect button on the bottom of the mouse. I didn't have a manual so didn't know where it was. Thank you anyway but it is working perfectly now, yippee!!
I just added a cordless Logitech Mouse to my laptop. My belarc report shows it is on my laptop:
OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
Microsoft AC Adapter
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard
HID-compliant Cordless Mouse
Logitech-compatible Mouse PS/2
SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller
USB Root Hub (4x)
But when I press the little connect buttons nothing happens. I have brand, new batteries as well. I did get an error message:
Run a dll as an app, needs to close. I am using Firefox browser and here is more info on my laptop:
Operating System System Model
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Install Language: English (United States)
System Locale: English (United States) Dell Inc. Inspiron 9200
System Service Tag: FQ1YC61 (support for this PC)
Chassis Serial Number: FQ1YC61
Enclosure Type: Portable
Can anyone tell me what the problem might be? I have reinstalled twice. If anyone knows about this particular mouse, shouldn't there be a light or some indicator if it's got power?
Thanks so much in advance, for anyone's help with this.
