Trackpoint laptops

by Nomix4 / January 22, 2011 8:20 AM PST

Hi,
Im looking for a new laptop and since my old one was with trackpoint (thinkpad) I really want my new one to have it too. So naturally I looked for a new thinkpad and was going to get the thinkpad edge 15. But I saw the reviews and now I'm not so sure..
I was hoping to find some advice here. My budget is about 1000$. What do you think?
Thanks,
Noam.

I see where they pan the keyboard flex but to reach such low prices something has to give. Not only that, the reviewer may have strong feelings about this area. Why not go shopping and see if this bothers you?

Thank you Bob. I ended up buying the edge. It's OK, nice looking and it's fine for me. Could have been better.

Your reply confirms my thought on this. You'd have to try the machine out to see if the reviewer was overly sensitive to this.
