In some cases installation may fail. Please click Go online to learn about this issue in the AVG installation error dialogue which will show specific instructions, if available. If instructions are not available yet, please go to the article What to do when AVG installation is failing. We also recommend running the Custom Installation and deselecting all available components to install core AVG components if the installation is still failing. Additional components can be added later if the installation is successful.

Core AVG products such as AVG AntiVirus and AVG PC TuneUp needs to be activated with the license number. There are few common mistakes which may lead to unsuccessful results. Therefore I'd like to share few tips on how to activate your AVG smoothly and without any complications.
1. Make sure you have the latest and complete license number. You can find it in your mailbox or inside the box with installation disc. Go to http://www.avg.com/lost if you can't find it or not sure. 2. Copy&Paste license from your mailbox or transcribe it carefully from the box. 3. Make sure there are no spaces or other characters before or after the license number. 4. Click Activate to start enjoying your AVG.
