Of course, it did state the first step was the test for blood in the stool, and only if that was found to follow up with a colonoscopy.

If you have a colonoscopy at 50 with a negative results, I don't think they ask you to come back for 10 years. If you're older, I know one person at 56 had their first one, I think they want you to come back after 5 years. Also if you have any polpys at all, I think they schedule you for 5 years.
