Text Message Search Not Finding Contact Names Ex: Lee Harber

by leeharbert / May 17, 2013 1:52 PM PDT

As of a few weeks ago when I do a search from my SMS or text messages and I type in a name of one of my contacts I get no results but rather only thing that shows up is if an SMS conversation mentions that name or term. Please help.

Example: If I want to send a message to Lee Harbert and go to search and type in Lee Har I get no results unless I have said the name Lee in a conversation before.

Also the spotlight search answer does not help for text messages so please do not say that is a solution.

Lee Harbert - Anybody Found a Solution?
by leeharbert / July 13, 2013 9:33 AM PDT

I have been reading in the apple forums and all of the other tech forums about this issue and it seems that nobody can figure out how to solve this issue. When you go ahead and create a message for somebody and include their name in the message then it is found in the spotlight search. However, if you go ahead and type in the name when in the spotlight you get the part of the message and the contact. If you do the search when trying to send a text message it does not show.

Please help thanks

Light bulbs you shouldn't buy

There are plenty of dimmable LED light bulbs, but make sure you don't buy the ones that flicker when you dial them down.
