That's a very good question. But the answer is going to be "You must not do that again."
Why? Because this is a Personal Computer and you are allowed to do anything you want, even installing bad things then it's mostly up to you to not click on every link or item in email, web or on your drives.
Some folk think that some antivirus should stop such but for now, as long as it's a PC that allows us to do anything we want, we must take care in what we do.
I'm sure there will be others along with free to use scanning tools to see if there are other posts but let me end with a moderator's saying. -> "We only lose what we didn't backup."
Help. I really need help. I really really need help. I REALLY REALLY NEED HELP.
I faced this virus which has a smiley icon (:D) for the file icon. It was disguised as a song, and when I clicked it twice the computer automatically restarted. After my OK motherboard screen, I got a defaced screen. I forgot what it looks like, its been a long time... how have that been... and the only detail I remember is that there was at least pictures. After that freak-out upon a defaced screen, I restarted the computer. The screen did not appear, and the file was deleted. What was that I do not know. I would like to know what is it and how to prevent it from future interactions. I still think it's inside my computer, though. HELP. How to fix it, how to prevent it from coming in again?
